  We can’t say enough about the wonderful treatment we received from Jim & Peter Carter and Staff at the Carter Funeral Home. Jim walked us through each decision-making step and helped us deal with the realities at hand, as well as our emotions during a difficult time.
  
  The attention to detail was nothing short of remarkable…starting with Jim’s professional appearance when he was first contacted late in the evening. The assembling of personal information and obituary composition was first rate. They applied no pressure with regards to funeral service options – just compassionately delivered information.
  
  It is amazing how just a small bottle of water given to us while leaving the cemetery could be so comforting. It is the “little things” that add up and separate Carter Funeral Home & Monuments from the competition.
  We will never forget their kindness and strongly recommend them.

  Carters Funeral Home is by far the best in town. You are treated with such care and attention. . Jim is so attentive to the family member needs, whatever they may be. Not many do house calls any longer, however Jim is always willing to accomadate and lessen the burden for the bereaved.

  We can't begin to express just how wonderful Carter Funeral Home was during one of the hardest times in our family's life. We trusted them with the last thing we could do for our mom and they went above and beyond to make sure all our expectations were not only met but exceeded. from the minute we walked in the door to plan our mom,s funeral they made us feel like family . They made sure we were comfortable , offered us water and were constantly checking to make sure we were all doing ok. Planning a funeral is never easy and Carter Funeral Home did so many little things throughout the process that allowed us as a family to grieve without having to worry about any details being left undone. When we set up the photos on a board to display they took the time to review then offer some suggestions for a few changes. Something they could have left the way we had it but instead they took the initiative to make it perfect.They put the same attention into the video giving it the personal touch that helped to make it special. They never once made us feel rushed in an of our decision . If we called and left a message they always got right back to us.They were attentive every step of they way and we were never made to feel like we were bothering them . No request was ever questioned but instead they just made it happen. We had a last minute change on our moms outfit and we told them we would bring the shirt right over they offered to pick it up. To go the extra mile during a time of great stress meant so much to us.
  They directed cars in the parking lot, opened the door foe every family and friend that came to give their condolences and they were always checking on us to make sure we didn't need tissues, water, mints or just a minute to compose ourselves. Even when it was all over and I went to pick up the death certificate ,(which they also offered to drop off), they didn't just hand them to me and send me on my way, They asked not only how I was doing but also how the rest of the family was, Once again the personal touches that continued to make us feel that they treated us just as they would have treated a member of their family, There are many places we could have chosen but we know as a family we made the right choice in choosing Carter Funeral Home, They are a family owned business and family is what we felt like through the whole process,
  Words simple cannot express our gratitude for everything they did to make our mom's funeral comforting and uplifting experience, At a time of our great sorrow, the helpfulness they all extended to our family was most appreciated and will never be forgotten.

  Jim Carter and his entire staff were so compassionate and understanding as I was planning my mother's service. Jim went above and beyond to ensure my mother and our family had peace of mind during this difficult time. I was so impressed with them that I felt I needed to share my experience with everyone. I would highly recommend the Carter Funeral Home.

  Being Italian, we made a break in tradition by meeting with Jim and Pete Carter, to put my father-in-law to rest. It was the best choice we could have made! The brothers allowed us to truly personalize the wake to comfort the grandchildren who were devastated by their loss. The care and consideration we were given was unmatched, and what we ALL needed in our pain. We have been so well cared for through the next three major losses, that honestly...I can't imagine going through such a difficult time with anyone BUT Carter Funeral Home. The relief I felt each time I knew we had to have our parent transferred from home or the hospital started the road to healing. I simply called to let Jim know our
  grandma or grandpa had passed away. From that point...we were ever so patiently taken care of. Thank you, Peter and Jim, for your compassion and careful handling of frazzled nerves and broken hearts.
